New website: A new & improved UK Bamboo
Say hello to the new UK Bamboo Supplies!
We’re bursting with pride to unveil the new and improved way to shop bamboo online. Following months of development and a brand refresh, the team have listened and taken customer’s feedback on board to create a website that’s more than just another e-commerce store.
Built with the customer in mind, the UX (user experience) is based around easy navigation and solutioning the customer’s query in the shortest space of time. Pages load faster, frequently asked questions are found on every product page, and there’s even an extensive FAQ section that is regularly updated.

A faster way to shop for bamboo poles
We’ve simplified our range.
7 different species of bamboo (Moso, Tali, Black, Speckled, Java Black, Guadua, and Vivax) have been reduced and condensed into 3 carefully constructed categories based on characteristics – Natural, Dark, and Guadua. The Latin scientific name of the species can be found under the ‘Specification’ area on the bamboo product page and the product’s diameter is much more prominent.

1) Updated photography
Shopping is now more visual. Each bamboo pole has its own page clearly showing the diameter in the hero image. Additional images show an example of the bamboo’s colour, as well as the tip & base end to demonstrate how the bamboo poles naturally taper. With each pole being unique like snowflakes, education underpins the new shopping experience.
2) New cut graphics
Selecting how the bamboo pole is cut is now easier to understand. The graphics change based on the cut selected and are supported by text.
This is one of our favourite improvements, as the change will go a long way to help customers avoid purchasing the wrong cuts or pole lengths.

Now, we’re pleased to share our story on our About Us page.
The Why, What, and How of UK Bamboo Supplies is also communicated via the Purpose, Vision and Mission statement – we’re not only a supplier of bamboo, but advocates of using the material as a green alternative.

- Revised product & shipping pricing – Fence panels & roll screens now come with free shipping, bamboo plyboards are now with more competitive pricing & “Collect from UK Bamboo” added as a shipping option.

Final thoughts
These are just some of the improvements we have made and the team are excited for what the future holds, as this website continues to evolve to deliver the best in-class shopping experience.
Our purpose, however, remains the same: “To supply a sustainable timber alternative and champion the versatility of bamboo.”
